Fieldex starts drilling on its flagship Laforce Copper Nickel property

Fieldex Exploration Inc. (FLX : TSXV and F7E : Frankfurt ) is pleased to inform its shareholders that the 18-hole drilling program on Midrim property has been completed and that Fieldex has started a 40-hole drilling program on its flagship advanced-stage LaForce property recently acquired from FNX Mining where Fieldex now owns 100-per-cent interest, subject to 2% royalties to FNX Mining. Martin Dallaire, president and chief executive officer of Fieldex, stated: “.The 2006 diamond drilling program was designed to confirm the pre-existing mineralized orebody, the 2007 40-hole drilling program is designed to expand the orebody and to increase the resources”.

Of the six holes drilled in 2006, LF-06-04 intersected 52.5 metres (6.00m - 58.50m) grading 1.01% Ni and 0.49% Cu. The Laforce mineralized envelope is hosted by an amphibolite pod within gabbroic rocks, and is comprised of up to 15% disseminated to wispy sulphides.

Fieldex Exploration has agreed, subject to regulatory approval, to grant 240 000 incentive stock options to consultants at an exercise price of $0.40 per share, these options being exercisable for a period of two years from the date of grant.
