Fieldex, Aurora drill 1.01% nickel over 52 meters at Laforce property

Fieldex Exploration Inc. (FLX :TSXV and F7E : Frankfurt ) is pleased to announce partial results from its summer diamond drilling program on the LaForce property (see Press Release September 27, 2006 ).

The LaForce property consists of 6 contiguous mining claims covering a total of two hundred and eleven hectares (211 ha). Historical drilling in the 1950s by Kerr Addison Gold Mines Ltd. outlined an area of mineralization of over two hundred feet (61m) in strike length. This area averaged 1.16% nickel and 0.45% copper (Laforce Property - 43-101, J.D Charlton April 18, 2002). A 6-hole (totalling 1056 m) diamond drilling program was designed to confirm the pre-existing, dated information and to test other areas proximal to the known mineralization. The new drilling was interpreted to show that the mineralized envelope is hosted by an amphibolite pod within gabbroic rocks, and is comprised of up to 15% disseminated to wispy sulphides. These holes confirmed the historically defined orebody and tremendously increased the understanding of the lithological control of the sulphide mineralization.

Of the 4-holes, drill hole LF-06-04 intersected two broad zones (6.00m-58.50m=52.50m; 73.81m-104.04m=30.23m) of nickel and copper mineralization. Individually each of these zones contain two higher-grade mineralized sections generally exceeding 2% combined nickel and copper. Anomalous platinum and palladium are also associated with nickel-copper mineralization.

The first mineralized zone intersected between 6.00m and 58.50m (52.50m) is comprised of two higher-grade sections from 8.66m to 18.20m (9.54m) and 29.65m to 42.70m (13.05m), yielding 2.59% Ni+Cu (1.59 % Ni, 1.00% Cu) and 2.23% Ni+Cu (1.66% Ni, 0.57% Cu), respectively.

The second mineralized zone intersected between 73.81m and 104.04m (30.23m) is also composed of two higher-grade sections from 78.84m to 85.00m (6.16m) and 100.52m to 104.04m (3.52m) yielding 1.48% Ni+Cu (1.01% Ni, 0.47% Cu) and 2.05% Ni+Cu (0.99% Ni, 1.06% Cu), respectively.

The drill holes LF-06-03, LF-06-05 and LF-06-06 did not yield significant values.

Two holes have also been completed on the Devlin property but assays are still pending and will be provided in the next few weeks. The next phase in the exploration and drilling program will be planned once the current program results are available and interpreted.

Qualify Person

The company's qualified person for the LaForce project is Ike Osmani, MSc., PGeo. As the QP, he has supervised the preparation of the scientific or technical information for the property.

QA-QC statement

Aurora Platinum Corp.is responsible for the verification and quality assurance of the joint venture's exploration data and analytical results. Samples were submitted for preparation to ALS Chemex in Sudbury and for assay to ALS Chemex in Vancouver where they were analyzed for Au, Pt, Pd, Ag, Cu, Pb, Ni, and Co. Precious metals were analyzed using an inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). Base metals were analyzed using an atomic absorption spectrometer (AA).
