Drilling program commences on its Duparquet gold property

Fieldex Exploration Inc. (FLX :TSXV,F7E : FSE) is pleased to announce the beginning of an intensive 10 000 meter drilling program scheduled to start February 12th, 2006 and end by December 2006. The first 2000 meters of the drilling program will be executed on Fieldex’ 100% owned Duparquet Gold property located close to the Quebec/Ontario border in the province of Quebec. The Duparquet Gold property covers approximately 1350 hectares (13.5 km²).The Duparquet Gold property is located immediately south of the Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone ("DPFZ"), an important structural control for the focus of gold (Au) mineralization at the nearby Duparquet, Quebec (1.2 million ounces "Moz" of historical gold production), at the Harker-Holloway, Ontario gold camp (1.4 Moz. of historical gold production) along strike to the west, and at the Timmins,Ontario camp further to the west (64 Moz of historical gold production).

The program’s objectives include evaluation of geophysical and geological targets proximate to historical work areas and new targets delineated from recent work conducted by the Company. Four priority grid areas have been selected for diamond drilling.

Further updates will be forthcoming as drilling progresses, and upon receipt of assays and geophysical survey results.
